ESVAGT's new Head of HSEQ Charlotte Feldvoss sees a strong safety culture as essential for ESVAGT's results.

Press release -

“We deliver safety!”

It is the combination of processes and mechanics on one side and relationships between people on the other that prompted the shipping company's new Head of HSEQ, Charlotte Feldvoss, to apply to ESVAGT.

She is a chemical engineer, educated at the DTU where she focused on understanding processes, physical chemistry and mechanics - but the chemistry between colleagues and the processes that happen in the grey matter between the ears has been just as important a focus area to her; something that has influenced her working life:

“In ESVAGT, the two elements that interest me the most meet perfectly: the technical and process side and my interest in science. We are a technically strong company that sells safety. That combination demands the right equipment, a strong culture and good relations," says Charlotte Feldvoss.

ESVAGT is a shipping company that, over the last 10 years, has grown remarkably. The growth from 400 to 900 employs that the company has experienced is something that changes many of the fundamental elements of the company. The culture - the will to deliver to the ESVAGT Standard – is something that we must hold onto," says Charlotte Feldvoss:

“When a company grows so much, it experiences a transformation and in this process it risks losing what it was that made the company unique. This has not happened here. Safety is the core element of ESVAGT; working safely is in the blood of its people - we deliver safety," she says.

We need to continue to refine this and build upon it:

“We need to maintain our ambition of continuously improving. Our company is built on the drive to become constantly better and that ambition is important - it is what moves us forward," she emphasises.
