​Extrema Outdoor brings winning Ibiza concept to the Netherlands

Eindhoven, the Netherlands – The areas for dance festival Extrema Outdoor have been announced. This year the festival counts seven areas and one scoop. For the first time in the Netherlands a stage is hosted by world-famous Ibiza concept ANTS. The theme ’20 Years of Love’ also sees a stage built in its honor. Extrema Outdoor is held July 11 at recreational beach Aquabest near Eindhoven.

This year Extrema Outdoor - which started out as The Extrema Dance Festival - celebrates its twentieth birthday. The festival has a scoop in the ANTS Stage. The concept - known from open-air club Ushuaïa in Ibiza - visits the Netherlands for the first time this year. Expect to hear the sultry summer beats and best techhouse from the sunny island on the beaches of Aquabest. Marcel Mingers, Creative Director for Extrema and himself a big fan of ANTS, announces more similar surprises for his visitors this year. Said Mingers: “It’s a special year for the Extrema Outdoor team. We’ve reached an impressive milestone, a good reason to make XO extra special for our visitors.”

20 Years Of Love

As a salute to twenty years gone by, this year sees Extrema Outdoor adding the 20 Years of Love Stage, including transvestites and other icons form the early ‘extravaganza’ years. At the 20 Years of Love Stage the DJ heroes of yore will perform. Last December loyal visitors were given the opportunity to secure True Lover tickets. These grant access to an exclusive backstage VIP deck at the 20 Years of Love stage, and the opportunity to raise their glasses together with the DJ heroes of yore, to the twentieth anniversary of Extrema Outdoor. The tickets sold out immediately.

Besides the new ANTS and 20 Years of Love stages, Extrema Outdoor operates according to the well-known recepy. The Diamond Stage is the outdoor main stage where show, performances and other sensations are found. The Quartz Arena is the indoor stage, where Extrema has been presenting the symbiosis between music, video and light through new technologies for years. The Crystal Stage again sees the best dance music the Netherlands has to offer.

La Fête 040 presents Ensuite

Each year Extrema Outdoor cooperates with a collective from Eindhoven. This year’s collaboration is La Fête 040. The collective is known for booming, yet intimate parties in the City of Light. Expect some heavyweights of the progressive-, deep- and techhouse scene. This roster will be completed by the regular Ensuite residents.

Line-up release

Extrema Outdoor is not yet able to comment on the line-up. However, on Wednesday, March 11 the festival will start the ‘Guess The Artist’ game. Through various Extrema Outdoor social media channels hints will be released. Those correctly guessing the artists will be notified March 26 whether they win tickets to the festival. The line-up is also announced this day, at 11:00.

Theme

The theme for the twentieth edition, '20 years of Love’, refers to the way Extrema organizes its crown jewel. Extrema is known for its familiar organization structure. Nowadays, as the dance industry is becoming increasingly commercial, Extrema keeps organizing events with love and passion, earning Extrema Outdoor the moniker hippie among dance festivals.

The twentieth edition of Extrema Outdoor takes place July 11, 2015. Extrema Outdoor is a loving meeting place at recreational beach Aquabest near Eindhoven, the Netherlands. XO programs a broad selection of exclusive artists from various dance genres, such as techno, techhouse, dubstep and house. The last edition saw 30.000 visitors for the festival. Tickets cost €50. An XO Comfort ticket costs €80 and grants access to the VIP Deck at the Diamond Stage and Quartz Stage, with private bar and facilities.

Diamond Stage

A wonderful view of the moving skyline of the Diamond Main Stage. After twenty years of love the Diamond Stage again offers a broad range of house and electronics, of course ending in the famous closing show. Brings back some good ollll’ memories.

Quartz Arena

3, 2, 1, ready for your take-off? Accompanied by cool dark shows and raw sounds you’ll fly through the immense led turbine that is the Quartz Tunnel, for a space trip not soon to forget! Start your engine!

Crystal Stage

Peak time! In this exciting wooden tower of Babel the dirty Dutch sound is, of course, front and center. With a beach and water on both sides it’s going to be awesome.

ANTS Stage

Scoop, scoop! The ant colony full of acrobats and performances is coming this way, and nothing can stop them. The best international techhouse brought by one of the coolest concepts on offer at club Ushuaïa. This time not in Ibiza, but the beaches of Aquabest. The first time ANTS hosts a stage in the Netherlands, an honor for XO!

Entrez-vous! Anything’s possible, anything goes at this freaky organized chaos. Extravagant transvestites bringing the freaky performances we know from way back when. Naturally you’ll party like it’s the first time ever, in the ’20 years of LOVE’ nightclub with the DJs of yore.
