Securing Foundation Trust status in 2011, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital is an established 488 bed general hospital which together with 12 cots in their newly refurbished Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based services to West and North Norfolk in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire.

Like many other NHS providers, they have faced extremely demanding challenges but they are resolute to meet these challenges and ensure that as an organisation they continue to improve and progress and are able to deliver the best possible services to their population.

They are currently in the process of strengthening their executive team and as part of this they are now seeking to identify and appoint a Director of Performance Improvement and Transformation. As key member of the Trust Board and Trust Executive Team the post-holder will lead on the development, implementation and monitoring of the Trust’s medium and longer term vision, corporate strategy and strategic objectives to ensure the future development and viability of the organisation to deliver a range of high quality, relevant services to the people of West Norfolk.

The post-holder will hold direct responsibility for staff in the PMO office and is the lead Executive for the Trust’s estate and FM functions and the delivery of services across the organisation. In addition, they will act as ‘custodian’ of the Trust’s five key organisational values and will lead on the creation of the necessary culture, care environment and processes to ensure that the ‘patient experience’ in the hospital is consistently excellent.

We are looking for a seasoned Board level operator who can demonstrate significant achievements around transformation and cost and service improvement within an acute setting. You will possess outstanding leadership skills with the ability to lead, engage and motive multi-disciplinary teams. Put simply you will be a Chief Executive of the future, ready to prove themselves in this challenging, high profile post.
