PROFESSOR STEVE BARNETT NAMED AS FIRST FINEGREEN CHAIRMAN

Finegreen Associates are delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Steve Barnett as its first Chairman.

A former Chief Executive of the NHS Confederation, and the first Chief Executive of NHS Employers, Steve's appointment has been confirmed in the run-up to Finegreen's annual leadership conference - Setting the Pace:AchievingGreat Leadership in Healthcare - on October 24th (see Note below).

Commenting on his new role, Steve stated that "at a time of unprecedented change to the system and structures of health and social care there has never been a more important time to secure and nurture top talent for the service and Finegreen' s reputation in this field is second to none. Other senior positions held previously by Steve Barnett include Chief Executive of the Academy for Healthcare Science. He has also been a member of the NHS Leadership Council, a Vice Chair of the Open University and chair of their Health Strategy Board, as well as Senior Director for HR at the Home Office.

He is currently Chairman of the Turnaround Group and Senior Vice President of a US health technology company..
