The European Commission recently published a report comparing the quality of export products among the EU countries. According to the report, Finland holds the highest ranking in terms of quality, followed by Sweden and Denmark.
The export industry and the quality of products was analysed using a set of indicators developed by the European Commission. The research was conducted between 2007 and 2011.
According to the Commission, Finland’s high ranking can be explained by the high position multiple different industries achieved in the comparison, and the relatively small impact the 2008 financial crisis had on product quality. However, the report mentions that the market share of Finnish products in the EU markets is not particularly high.
