Kone, a Finnish elevator and escalator company, has got new orders from the UK, Canada and Singapore. Recently Kone won an order to supply elevators to eight new Crossrail stations under construction in central London. The new Crossrail stations will also provide interchanged connections with other transport services including London Underground, National Rail and/or Docklands Light Rail.
Kone is delivering 33 elevators and escalators to Marine Gateway mixed-use development in Vancouver, Canada. The company is also supplying 52 elevators and 21 escalators to South Beach, a new mixed use eco-quarter development in downtown Singapore.
The Vancouver project is a mixed-use development, recognized for its innovation in sustainability and urban planning and consists of 461 residential condominiums, a supermarket, restaurants, and a movie theatre.
The Singaporean scheme will house office space, designer hotel, residential apartments and retail space. The project also includes the conservation of four historic buildings and two towers standing at 45 and 34 storeys each.
