Finnish mobile gaming company Supercell made an excellent result last year. The company, founded by Ilkka Paananen and Mikko Kodisoja in 2010 had a turnover of 672 million euros in 2013, almost ten times bigger than previous year. The profit was 349 million euros, 52 per cent of the turnover. Supercell also employed 60 new employees last year making the total amount of employees 138. They have offices in Helsinki, San Francisco, Tokyo and Seoul.
Supercell has created two mobile games, Clash of Clans and Hay Day which both are free to download, but while playing the games, players are able to speed up their progress by spending real money on tools they can use in the game. Their third game called Boom Beach will be published soon. CEO Ilkka Paananen told that it has already been played in Australia and Canada where it has rosen to top 5 of most productive iPhone games.
