Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines can confirm that two guests from its cruise ship Boudicca have been fatally injured in a collision with a vehicle at 11.00 hours today local time (Thursday 27th September 2018) whilst on a tour in Salalah, Oman. One further guest has been seriously injured and has been taken to a local hospital.

The guests were getting off a coach on an excursion and were struck by a car. It is not yet known how the guests came to be struck, and the circumstances are being investigated.

The safety of all guests and crew is Fred. Olsen’s utmost priority. We are working closely with the local tour operator and authorities in Salalah to provide full support. As soon as the names of those involved have been officially confirmed, the next of kin will be informed. Our deepest sympathies are with the families and loved ones at this very sad time.

Boudicca is currently on a 14-night D1820 ‘Authentic Arabia’ fly-cruise, which departed from Aqaba, Jordan on 20th September 2018. The ship arrived in Salalah today (Thursday 27th September 2018).
