As a bus company with nearly 700 buses, making over 70 million journeys a year, we handle our fair share of lost property.
By far, the items left on our vehicles the most are mobile phones. Around 20 per cent of enquiries to our customer services teams are about lost property. The good news is, we are pretty good at reuniting customers with their left-behind-belongings.

What to do if you leave something on a Go North East bus…
- The quickest way to contact us is via Live Chat on simplygo.com or through our Facebook or Twitter pages.
- Tell us which service you may have left your belongings on and we will check to see if your item has been found. And we will advise the best course of action if it hasn’t been found at that time.
- If you’ve lost an item and we are closed (see opening hours here), send us a message on our Facebook or Twitter pages. Your message will be picked-up when we open again. We will then contact you to let you know if your lost property has been found, and if it has, where to collect it from.
