Witness appeal following Portsmouth assault

We’re appealing for information following an assault in Walmer Road in Fratton last night (13 June).

At 11.08pm officers were called to reports of a group of men fighting in the road.

On arrival, a 22-year-old man had been assaulted. He was taken to hospital where he remains at this time.

A 24-year-old man from Southsea and an 18-year-old man from Portsmouth have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

An 18-year-old man from Havant has been arrested on suspicion of affray.
