Men attempt to rob boys in Southsea
We’re investigating an attempted robbery of two boys in Highland Road, Southsea, on Friday (23 November).
A 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy had just walked past St Margaret’s Church, opposite the cemetery in Highland Road, at about 7.30pm, when they were approached by three men.
One of the men dragged one of the boys into an alleyway, while one of the other men grabbed the other boy.
Both boys managed to push the men off and ran away in different directions. One ran towards Albert Road and the other ran up Winter Road and then into Goldsmith Avenue.
All three men were white, early 20s, average to skinny build; two were about 5’ 8” – 5’ 10” tall and one about 6’ tall; one also had a cleft lip. They were all described as scruffy in appearance.
We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the boys being grabbed, or being chased by the men.
