Prime Minister Renzi visits Hitachi Rail Italy in Pistoia

This morning Prime Minister Matteo Renzi visited the Hitachi Rail Italy plant at Pistoia, welcomed by the Global CEO of Hitachi Rail Alistair Dormer, the CEO of Hitachi Rail Italy Maurizio Manfellotto, the CEO of Trenitalia Barbara Morgante and Lorena Dellagiovanna Country Manager of Hitachi Ltd.

Employees and managers had the possibility to meet the leader of the Government, who cut the tricolor ribbon to inaugurate the brand new testing hall of the Pistoia plant of Ciliegiole street.

It was a highly awaited visit of the Prime Minister, who expressed strong confidence in the perspectives of the Group. "This is not only a day of pride and celebration of the great results achieved,  but also a time to present with pleasure our new technology”, said Maurizio Manfellotto.

“I believe in our employees, in the  people of this Company, and I think that with the commitment of all of us we can achieve great results”, declared Alistair Dormer before turning the podium to the
Prime Minister.

After the ceremony the Prime Minister visited the newly inaugurated Testing Hall, accompanied also
by the Senior Vice President of Human Resources Ernesto Martinelli and the COO Giuseppe Marino, who illustrated to the Prime Minister the high technological level of the Hall, realized in a few months  with an investment of around 6 million euro.
