Queens Park Rangers choose imagineear to redevelop the stadium tour of Loftus Road

Press Release   •   Aug 10, 2012 16:30 BST

London. imagineear is pleased to have been selected by Queens Park Rangers to provide a self-guided multimedia tour of Loftus Road, the home of the club since 1917.

Founded in 1882, QPR is a club rich in history and tradition and has a fantastic story to tell. imagineear’s unique self-guided tours are the best way to engage fans in this story and ensure that a club provides all its visitors with the interactive and truly memorable experience that they increasingly demand.

Queens Park Rangers will become the second club in the Premier League to launch a fully self-guided tour of its grounds. The initial launch will be in English only, although with the recent signing of Ji Sung Park from Manchester United and the excitement this generated on the team's recent Asian tour, it is likely that a Korean translation will soon follow.

imagineear's multimedia stadium tours are a new and innovative concept that enable sports clubs to maximise the commercial opportunity they have by opening their biggest asset to the public, day-in day-out. The ability to layer optional content on the purpose-built mediaPacker™ means clubs can easily cater to the wide variety of interests held by individual visitors of all ages and backgrounds. Fans can also benefit from a real insight in to what it's like to play for the club by including exclusive interviews with everyone from the club chef to current star players and past legends. The added option of updating recent match highlights and player interviews after each home game means the tour always stays fresh and remains central to telling the club's ongoing story.

Becky Grote, Marketing Director at QPR said: "We are hugely excited to be launching a new stadium tour at Loftus Road. We want to give our fans a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes at the home of Queens Park Rangers and to use the latest technology to bring them an amazing experience on the tour – hearing from our star players, seeing the latest goals and also exploring the history of our club."

"We feel confident that the combination of imagineear's unrivalled expertise in developing stadium tours, together with QPR's remarkable story and stadium will combine to form a truly outstanding end product. Over the coming weeks we look forward to working with the imagineear Sport team to realise that vision for Loftus Road."

James Dyer, Sports Account Manager, commented: "We are delighted to be able to add QPR to our growing list of sports clients. For the clubs and for their fans, the potential for multimedia to enhance the experience is enormous, and we greatly look forward to delivering on this promise."

Look out for the new Loftus Road Tour being launched in autumn 2012.
