International Railway Journal (IRJ) and IRITS Events Ltd are delighted to announce the participation of Banedanmark at the 4th International Railway Summit taking place on 15-17 February 2017 in Paris. Banedanmark will be represented by CFO Peter Jonasson.

Banedanmark, a state-owned enterprise under the Danish Ministry of Transport, is responsible for the maintenance and traffic control of most of the Danish railway network. Banedanmark employs over 2,000 staff with offices all over Denmark, and is responsible for over 3,000 km of railway tracks and 40,000 arrivals and departures daily at stations all over Denmark.

Their exciting new projects include a new sixty-kilometre dual track high speed line from the city of Copenhagen to the city of Ringsted as well as a new dual high speed railway from the city of Ringsted to the island of Fehmarn. They are also aiming to replace all signalling on their entire railway network with The European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS) or Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) by the end of 2021.

Peter Jonasson joined Banedanmark in 2016 as CFO, after previously working as the University Director at Copenhagen Business School. Mr Jonassonwill be a VIP guest at the 4th International Railway Summit and will take part in one-to-one consultation meetings with participating technology solution providers as well as in networking functions throughout the summit. International Railway Summit is an exclusive platform for rail sector leaders to get free bespoke consultation for their future projects based on a unique matchmaking service between buyers' requirements and experts' knowledge.

Organisations and individuals interested in learning more about International Railway Summit and about how they can participate in the event can visit or contact the organisers, IRJ and IRITS Events.

International Railway Summit is a meeting of senior executives representing the world’s key rail operators, rail infrastructure management companies, national and local governments, rolling stock manufacturers and a wide range of solution providers.

International Railway Summit provides a 'matchmaking' service between rail industry leaders ('buyers') and technical experts ('suppliers'), based on buyer delegates' project requirements and the proven expertise of large and small suppliers that we have carefully handpicked. Based on this matchmaking, buyer delegates attend one-to-one consultation sessions with suitable suppliers during the annual summit.

In addition to the one-to-one meetings, delegates also attend a conference programme given by key industry leaders and experts and network over lunches and dinners with their counterparts and industry colleagues from all over the world. International Railway Summit is co-hosted by International Railway Journal and IRITS Events and will take place on 15-17 February 2017 in Paris, France.
