International Railway Journal (IRJ) and International Rail Infrastructure and Technology Summit (IRITS) are delighted to announce an exclusive partnership, which will see a comprehensive cooperation between the two organisations for International Railway Summit 2015 (formerly IRITS 2015), scheduled for 18-20 February 2015 in Barcelona, Spain.
The International Railway Summit is a unique matchmaking service for the global rail sector’s buyers and suppliers. An annual event hosting a series of one-to-one meetings based on buyers’ requirements and suppliers’ expertise. Senior decision makers from rail operators, infrastructure owners, national and local governments and rolling stock manufacturers attend the summit as buyers, while providers of advanced technology and solutions are invited to take part as suppliers.
First published in 1961 as the world’s first globally-distributed monthly magazine for the railway industry, IRJ has now become the reference of choice for this rapidly-growing and increasingly global sector. With an average monthly qualified circulation of 10,220 rail professionals, IRJ is distributed to every country known to operate a railway or rapid transit system.
Under this partnership, IRJ’s team of highly knowledgeable journalists and correspondents will produce the content of the conference programme, which will highlight the most pressing issues facing the industry and provide an informative and interactive platform for debates on the future of the global rail industry under the common theme of ‘drive forward trains of thought’.
IRJ’s advertisers will also benefit from having a single point of contact for their promotional requirements as IRJ’s sales team will be able to advise them on how they can meet with their most relevant potential customers face-to-face.
David Briginshaw, IRJ’s Editor-in-Chief commented: ‘I am delighted to join forces with IRITS Events enabling us to stage IRJ’s first railway conference. IRITS has a great reputation for promoting discussion between railway suppliers and their customers and through this exclusive partnership we hope to widen the debate on how the industry can meet the challenges of growth and greater efficiency through innovation.”
Jules Omura, Managing Director of IRITS Events Ltd commented: ‘IRJ’s unparalleled knowledge on the global rail sector and its key players will add an enormous boost to the quality of the conference programme at the International Railway Summit. As the conference chair of IRITS 2013, David provided an indispensable support and advice and I am immensely excited to have agreed on an exclusive partnership with IRJ, which will allow us to reach a global audience and to further our ultimate goal of advocating international exchange of rail technology and cultures.’
Organisations and individuals interested in learning more about International Railway Summit 2015 and about how they can participate in the event can visit irits.org or contact the organisers, IRITS Events and IRJ.
In addition, appointments can be made to discuss opportunities at InnoTrans 2014 and further information will be available at IRJ’s stand (Hall 6.2, Stand 101).
International Railway Summit is a meeting of senior executives representing the world’s key rail operators, rail infrastructure management companies, national and local governments, rolling stock manufacturers and a wide range of solution providers.
International Railway Summit provides a 'matchmaking' service between rail industry leaders ('buyers') and technical experts ('suppliers'), based on buyer delegates' project requirements and the proven expertise of large and small suppliers that we have carefully handpicked. Based on this matchmaking, buyer delegates attend one-to-one consultation sessions with suitable suppliers during the annual summit.
In addition to the one-to-one meetings, delegates also attend a conference programme given by key industry leaders and experts and network over lunches and dinners with their counterparts and industry colleagues from all over the world. International Railway Summit 2015 will take place
on 18-20 February 2015 in Barcelona, Spain.
