International Rail Infrastructure and Technology Summit (IRITS) has announced that Romania's Secretary of State for Transport, Mr Cristian Ghibu, will be among the VIP guests attending IRITS 2013. The summit takes place in Berlin between the 6th and the 8th of November 2013.
Mr Ghibu's responsibilities as Secretary of State for Transport include the organisation, coordination and implementation of national rail strategies, as well as the negotiation and conclusion of international agreements.
Mr Ghibu is a former Director General of Romania's state railway carrier, CFR, and currently, as Secretary of State for Transport, he coordinates on CFR among other companies under the remit of the Ministry of Transport.
In recent years Romania has privatised part of its rail network, and the Ministry of Transport is currently overseeing the privatisation, now in its final stages, of state-owned freight operator CFR Marfa.
Mr Ghibu will be taking part in business meetings with participating technology solution providers as well as in networking functions during the summit.
