Lesjöfors Latvia contributes to unique timber expo system

Lesjofors´ plant in Latvia has been involved in an interesting project of a new and innovative modular exposition system. The stylish, light-weight TreeFrame® system is environmental friendly and made from wood.

TreeFrame® is the first modular exposition system in the world that’s made from timber. High-tech engineering is behind the flexible, stylish, modern design and the product is also portable and tool-free to assemble. Other major advantages are that it is cost effective and builds on environment friendly solutions. Lesjöfors had an important role in the project to design the connection system.

“It took about a year of our engineer’s work and trials to create the connection system Huglock. We are happy to see the product which is absolutely professional and function exactly as we earlier imagined”, says Ingars Jaunzems, Managing Director of Lesjöfors Springs LV.

Ecological technology

Currently the project is in the marketing process and is shown to potential customers in different thematic exhibitions. The interest in the product grows rapidly. The modular ecological and cost saving solutions enable companies to merchandise their products and services for optimum impact and entice potential customers. Exhibition stands, point of sales displays, office interiors, retail installations and many other desired constructions are possible with the TreeFrame modular system.

“There are no limits in the variety of combinations with this product. It is very encouraging to see new inventions being created, based on simple innovations that represent breakthroughs in green thinking”, says Ingars Jaunzems.

The key components in TreeFrame are timber beams and cubes - manufactured from solid birch wood and veneered in highest quality 12 mm plywood.

Tool free mounting

The TreeFrame exposition system is very easy to put together. The patented, simple and fast tool-free assembling technology, thanks to the revolutionary Huglock connection system, operates on twist-lock mechanism. The HugLock system is now made in plastic, but with significant contribution from Lesjofors the first Huglock spring plate and connector was made in stainless steel. The stainless steel system is currently under development for heavier constructions.

Made in Latvia

TreeFrame framework design and manufacturing technique facilitates lightweight and compact dismantling for transportation and storage. No special tools or skilled craftsmen are needed. Existing constructions can be re-used, reconfigured or reprocessed into new designs.

“We are very proud that such export oriented, high interest projects are developed in Latvia. It proves again that innovative ideas combined with good price and high quality are making magic things. Lesjöfors is always happy to be involved in projects like this - it enhances the creative spirit within our group and lets us create value that exceeds our customers’ expectations. The success story with TreeFrame and HugLock products are the result of a really good and open cooperation”, says Ingars Jaunzems.
