London Midland is slashing the cost of rail travel this half term with a special £10 ticket that allows a day's travel anywhere on its network.
'The Great Escape' promotion runs from 13 February to 21 February 2010, and aims to get people out and about by train over the half-term week.
As well as the big cities of London, Birmingham and Liverpool, London Midland runs to a host of other popular destinations including Worcester, Hereford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Shrewsbury, Lichfield, and Stoke-on-Trent.
“With a network stretching from Liverpool in the north to London in the south, our Great Escape ticket really is fantastic value for money”, said Alex Hynes, Commercial Director for London Midland.
“It's also a great time to get out and about, now the days are getting longer and the Christmas holidays are a distant memory!”
London Midland has also negotiated a great range of 2 for 1 offers at local attractions, theatres and restaurants in both London and Birmingham, available exclusively for rail travellers.
The £10 Great Escape tickets are available to anyone with a special voucher. Fifty thousand vouchers are available, and can be downloaded from the London Midland website at www.londonmidland.com/greatescape or by calling 08451 28 00 89.
