Season ticket holders at Worcester City football club will benefit from another season of discounted rail travel on match days.
London Midland has extended the offer it agreed with the club last year, providing cheaper tickets for season ticket holders travelling between Worcester stations and Kidderminster.
Terry Oliver, London Midland’s head of Snow Hill services said, “As Worcester’s ground share agreement with the Harriers will continue into the 2014/15 season, we were happy to extend the original offer we put in place.
“Travelling by train removes the hassle of finding car parking close to the ground, and also allows fans the opportunity to enjoy a drink before the game. The offer proved to be a great success last year and we’re delighted to be supporting Worcester FC and their fans for another season”.
The discounted ticket offer allows adults to travel on a return ticket between Worcester and Kidderminster for £3.50 instead of £5.90.
Worcester City Football Club director, Mike Davis said, “Playing home games away from Worcester was bound to be a difficult period for City F.C. The reduced fares offered by LM have played a big part in helping our fans to continue to support their Club.
“£3.50 represents a valuable bonus for our Season ticket holders. Thank you London Midland!”
