Large works galore. Mas.s shifting into sizeable paintings. Just now.

After painting "Impact", the lifesize statue of a baby Asian Elephant. Mas.s took the opportunity to start a range of rather large works in the gallery he was using in Kingston Upon Thames. His unique way of expressing himself on canvas took a new meaning on these larger works. Marcel says " I did have this dream of translating the various conceptual, abstract and landscape paintings to a new level. And I like it." He goes on" I was drawn to making pieces that would stand out in expression and perception.  My art in general is very powerful, expressive and colourful, I wanted to know how it would come out in larger works.  The sheer scale that you work on has a profound impact on your approach to these works. Planning, overview and the incredible amount of work/paint involved was challenging. I think it worked out well."

He is off to Italy for the "Unity in Diversity" solo exhibition in Levanto on the Italian Riviera from the 6th to the 12th of September. He hopes that this tour of more then 20 paintings may be expanded to other parts of Italy, which is looking promising.

In his return various larger works will be ready for exposition. Photographs of these larger works have been attached to this article.
