Press release -

New year opportunities for businesses to connect with local communities in Mid and East Antrim

Businesses are being given the chance to get closer to their communities in Mid and East Antrim at key locations across the borough and at a number of public events, as part of an exciting initiative being rolled out over coming weeks.

Opportunities for companies to reach huge potential audiences by displaying their logo or name on key arterial routes into and out of the area are highly sought after year on year, with requests to sponsor flowerbeds or public spaces received from businesses of all sizes.

This year, as part of its commitment to working in partnership with the local business community, Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is seeking sponsors for a number of major roundabouts, parks and events.

Sponsorship opportunities are now available at the People’s Park and Ecos Nature Park in Ballymena, Town Parks in Larne and Shaftesbury Park in Carrickfergus, meaning your business can play its part in supporting the local community while enhancing your firm’s profile.

Mid and East Antrim is an award-winning borough, with many of our towns and villages enjoying success in the George Best City Airport Best Kept, Translink Ulster in Bloom and RHS Britain in Bloom competitions over the years.

Opportunities are also available through a new initiative, Business in the Park, which invites companies to invest in their local parks, not just through financial contributions but also by working jointly on new projects to really make a difference, such as capital works or staff volunteering days.

Council’s Parks and Open Spaces Service deliver a range of events, including Love Parks Week, while the annual National Play Day at Marine Gardens in Carrickfergus attracts up to 1,000 children to its beautiful grounds.

For more information about the sponsorship opportunities available, contact Council’s Development Manager on 028 9335 8279 or email Claire.Duddy@midandeastantrim.gov.uk
