Appeal for witnesses following road traffic collision in Liverpool

We are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision that occurred near to William Brown Street by the entrance of the Birkenhead tunnel on Monday 21st January.

At approximately 3pm a 76-year-old male pedestrian was in collision with a black Hackney cab. The cab initially stopped, however the driver stated that they had a fare and continued without providing any details.

The male pedestrian was assisted by a member of the public who assisted them to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital where the male was kept in for surgery.
