Appeal for witnesses following robbery in Speke

We are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Speke.

At around 11.25pm on Wednesday 5th June an unknown male entered a house on Churchway Road. He threatened the occupiers and demanded cash before leaving the property with jewellery and a wallet.

A short time later a quantity of cash was withdrawn using the victim’s card from a cash machine at the Morrison’s store in Speke.

The offender is described as a white male, around 5ft 7in tall of skinny build with dark brown eyes. He was wearing a black hooded top, black pants and had his face covered with a ski mask.

Detective Inspector Paul Nilsen said: “The occupiers of the house, who are both pensioners, were not injured but were left shaken up by their ordeal.

“I would appeal for anyone who was in the vicinity of Churchway Road who saw anyone or anything suspicious to contact us. I would also ask for anyone who may have seen this male, who we believe was on a pushbike, at the cash machine in Morrison’s.”

Anyone with information is asked to DM @MerPolCC, call 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 19100291739.
