CCTV reappeal with new images following assault in Liverpool City Centre

Detectives investigating an assault in Liverpool City Centre last year are issuing new CCTV images of two men we still wish to speak with.

At 1am on Sunday, 1 July 2018, a group of men were asked to leave Red Door public house in Berry Street following a verbal altercation with door staff. Once outside, two of the men assaulted door staff, resulting in one staff member sustaining a fractured jaw and significant bruising.

A previous appeal has not resulted in a positive identification of the men, but new CCTV images are now being issued.

Detective Inspector Paul Lamb said: "We think the men pictured may have information to assist, so I would ask that they, or anyone who recognises them, comes forward. This is a long-running investigation but we will continue to act on all information until these men are identified.

"Violence of any description will not be tolerated, in this case targeting those door security staff who work hard to ensure the safety of people enjoying a night out in Liverpool. We will act on all information provided to identify those involved and put them before the courts."
