Death of man in Toxteth not being treated as suspicious

Merseyside Police can confirm officers are investigating the death of a man in Toxteth this evening (Sunday, 7 April).

Emergency services were called to Croxteth Road, just after 10pm to reports a man had fallen from a block of flats.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified and officers are working to contact his next of kin.

His death is currently being treated as unexplained but is not thought to be suspicious.

Enquiries are on-going to establish the full circumstances of the incident - CCTV is being sought, witnesses spoken to and crime scene investigators will also examine the scene.
