Man charged following attempted robbery in Kirkby

Merseyside Police have charged a 40 year old man from Maghull following an attempted robbery last month.

Officers were called to Saturn Business Park, Kirkby at around 9.15pm on 31st March following a report that a number of men had attempted to steal items from the storage containers, however after being disturbed by a security guard, they made off from the scene empty handed.

Richard Joyce, 40, of South Meade, Maghull was later arrested and charged with attempted robbery following the incident. He will next appear atLiverpool Crown Court on 11^th May 2019.
