Man charged following seizure of firearms and ammuniation in Huyton

Detectives have charged a man with firearms offences following the search of a flat in Huyton on Wednesday, 18 September 2019.

At around 3pm, officers carried out the warrant at the property on Primrose Drive.

Officers forensically recovered two pistols and ammunition during the search.

49-year-old Alan Mallon from Primrose Drive has now been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm and one count of possessing ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.

Mallon was kept in custody to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court this morning, Friday 20 September.
