Man conditionally bailed in connection with death of one-year-old boy admitted to hospital last Friday

We can confirm that a 23-year-old man arrested on suspicion of the murder of a one-year-old boy who passed away this weekend has been conditionally bailed pending further enquiries.

At 6pm, police were informed by the ambulance service of concerns for a child, who had been taken to hospital from an address in Belsford Way, Speke earlier in the afternoon having suffered a head injury.

The man has been conditionally bailed to next appear in August.
