Officers appeal for ‘Good Samaritan’ who helped man after he was stabbed in shins

Merseyside Police are appealing for help to identify the ‘Good Samaritan’ that assisted a man after he was assaulted in Wirral.

Officers were called to Plymyard Fields, Eastham at around 9.20pm on Monday 24th June following reports that a man, who had been walking at the time, had been approached by a number of men, who reportedly got out a black car, before attacking him.

The victim is believed to have been struck around head with a blunt instrument and stabbed twice in both shins. The offenders have then made off.

Luckily a passing motorist stopped and helped the man, ringing his brother who collected the victim and took him home.

Unfortunately the victim didn’t get the details of the motorist who helped him and now we’d like to track him/her down in case they can help with our continued investigations. Was this you? If so, please get in touch @MerPolCC or by calling 101 quoting: 19100333335.
