Officers on the hunt for men who stole phones from Apple Store in Liverpool One

Officers are currently in attendance of Liverpool One, following reports of a high value theft at the Apple Store.

The incident is reported to have happened at 9.45am this morning (4th July) when six men have entered the store separately before stealing a number of phones and a laptop.

Chief Inspector Jay Crellin said: “The men are believed to have made off in two separate directions, some towards John Lewis and some towards Costa Coffee (in the opposite direction).

“Someone must have seen these men running away from the scene and will most probably have heard the phones making a significant noise used to alert staff of a security issue so I am confident that witnesses will come forward, either members of the public or other staff members, to help us track down those responsible.”

The men are all described as wearing black clothing, including black hats, jackets and trousers. One is described as having a black jacket with a white fur hood. Another was wearing a white Levi’s top and blue jeans, whilst a third was wearing orange/red trainers.

Ch/Insp Crellin added: “We are now analysing CCTV, working with security at Liverpool One and conducting forensic analysis to identify the men responsible. Anyone that witnessed the incident is asked to DM @MerPolCC or call 101 quoting log 323 of 4th July.”
