Police appeal following damage only shooting in Bootle last night

Merseyside Police are currently investigating a damage only firearms discharge on Bedford Road, Bootle. 

The incident is reported to have happened shortly after 8.20pm yesterday evening (6th July) when the front window of a residential property at the above location was damaged in a suspected shooting.

Witnesses also report seeing two men on a scrambler bike at the location before they made off towards the City Centre on County Road. We are keen to track these people down as we believe they could assist with ongoing investigations.

Officers have carried out house to house enquiries and are currently looking at CCTV but also encourage anyone that witnessed the incident, or has information including passing vehicles with dash cam footage to DM @MerPolCC or call 101 quoting log 1007 of 6th July
