Unroadworthy trail bike seized and man arrested on suspicion of drug driving following stop in Bootle

Officers carrying out disruption in Bootle last night have seized an unroadworthy bike and arrested a man on suspicion of drug driving.

At 7.20pm, a black KTM trail bike was sighted riding on Knowsley Road. Officers stopped the bike at the junction with Queens Road and detained the rider. The bike was found to not be road legal.

Following a roadside test, a 28-year-old man from Bootle was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and taken to a police station for questioning. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
