Appeal after fatal collision in Alperton

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are appealing for witnesses after a teenage boy died following a collision with a bus in Alperton.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service shortly before 18:30hrs on Thursday, 10 December, to a report of a collision between a pedestrian and a bus on Glacier Way, near the junction of Ealing Road, Alperton.

Officers attended and a 15-year-old boy was found seriously injured at the location. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Next of kin have been informed.

The victim was using a self-balancing scooter, also referred to as a 'hoverboard', at the time of the collision. Enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances.

Whilst officers believe they know who the deceased is, they await formal identification. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place at Northwick Park Hospital on Tuesday, 15 December.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.
