Appeal after man found collapsed in Snaresbrook

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after an unresponsive man was found in Snaresbrook.

Police were called at 12:08hrs on Thursday, 26 January to reports of an unresponsive man found collapsed in an area of forest off Snaresbrook Road, E11.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found the 45-year-old man. He was taken an east London hospital and has since been transferred to a central London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Detectives from Waltham Forest CID are investigating.

At this early stage detectives retain an open mind as to the circumstances which led to the man being found unresponsive. They are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area prior to the man being located.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
