A 76-year-old man has died following a collision with a moped in central London.
Police continue to appeal for witnesses after officers were called by London Ambulance Service at approximately 23:25hrs on Friday, 27 January to reports of a moped in collision with a male pedestrian in Mount Street, W1.
The collision occurred as the man attempted to cross the road near Scott's restaurant. He was taken to hospital where he died at 00:23hrs on Saturday, 28 January. His next of kin have been informed.
The moped stopped at the scene; the rider was not arrested.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Alperton Traffic Garage investigate.
