Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage to come forward following a road traffic collision that has left a man critically ill in hospital.

Officers were called at 19:57hrs on Friday, 20 September to Gayton Road, Harrow, after a 43-year-old man came off of his motorcycle as he was riding down the street and collided with some benches.

Officers attended with LAS and London's Air Ambulance.

The man was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. His family are aware.

Detective Constable Rob Simpson, investigating, said: "While at this stage we don't believe the motorcyclist collided directly with any other vehicles, we are asking for the driver of a light coloured Ford Fiesta to come forward.

“This vehicle was seen pulling away from the scene as the motorcyclist approached and the driver could have information that would assist us."

Anyone else who witnessed the incident, or who has dash cam footage, is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit via 0208 246 9820.
