Appeal after pedestrian, 83, dies in Knightsbridge collision

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge.

Police were called at 17.55hrs on Thursday, 18 January to reports of a collision between a white and blue DAF lorry and a pedestrian.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene

The pedestrian, an 83-year old-woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed.

Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will held in due course.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene.

No arrests have been made and enquires continue.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating (SCIU).
