Appeal after pedestrian critically injured in Romford

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious collision in Romford.

Police were called at approximately 13:30hrs on Wednesday, 16 November to reports of a car in collision with a male pedestrian in Rush Green Road, RM7.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the pedestrian, aged 60, was taken to an east London hospital - he remains there in a critical condition.

The driver of the car involved stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.

Road closures were put in place while the scene was dealt with - these were lifted at approximately 17:00hrs.

Enquiries into the circumstances continue.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.
