Appeal after shooting in Romford

Police are appealing for any witnesses with information to contact them following a stabbing and shooting that took place after a party in Romford.

Officers attended the venue at approximately 05:30hrs on Sunday, 23 July after a group gathered following a birthday party at a venue on an industrial estate at Bridge Close.

Police spoke with a number of people at the scene and were informed that someone had been seen in possession of a firearm.

Officers subsequently found a 29-year-old man [victim 1] suffering from a stab wound.

He was taken by the London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital in a critical condition; he remains there in a stable condition and his injuries are not life threatening.

Two other men [victims 2 and 3] were also found with gunshot injuries. They were taken to hospital for treatment before being discharged.

Two men [A - 22yrs; B - 30yrs] who were arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of a firearm were taken to an east London police station and have been released under investigation.

Detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating.

Detective Constable Conrad Trotman, who leads the investigation, said: "We would really appeal to any members of the public who have any information, however small they think it might be, to come forward to us to help our investigation."
