Appeal after teenager sexually assaulted

Police in Lewisham are appealing for information following a sexual assault in Mottingham.

The assault occurred at approximately 03:50hrs on Saturday, 13 January on Marvels Lane at the junction with Lambscroft Avenue. The victim, a 13-year-old girl, was assaulted by an unknown man as she walked along the road. He is alleged to have stopped her by grabbing her arm, and proceeded to touch her inappropriately.

The suspect is described as in his 30s, with olive skin, dark hair and a stubbly beard. He spoke with a foreign accent. He was wearing a black hooded top and blue jeans; he was carrying a supermarket carrier bag.

Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit at Lewisham are investigating and appealing for any information about the attack.
