Appeal following a shooting in Greenwich

Detectives from the Trident Gang Crime Command are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information following a shooting in Greenwich.

Police were called at around 20:40hrs on Thursday, 26 May to reports of males having fired shots at a car in Armitage Road, SE10.

Officers, including armed officers, attended and found evidence of a discharge of a firearm.

A 28-year-old man was subsequently found in nearby Felltram Way, SE7 suffering a gunshot wound.

He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service where he remains in a serious but stable condition. His injuries are described as non life threatening.

It is believed that the gunman made off initially on foot in the company of another man and then may have driven off in a small dark-coloured car along Woolwich Road.

Officers from the Trident Gang Crime Command are investigating.

There have been no arrests in connection with this incident.
