Appeal following burglary at Holland Park

Detectives investigating a burglary in Holland Park, W14 have released CCTV footage and a still of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

At approximately 01:20hours on Friday, 4 December police were called to a burglary in progress at the address in W14.

Officers attended the scene; the suspect had left prior to their arrival.

Enquiries established that the occupants were inside the property when the burglary took place. A security guard patrolling the area had challenged the suspect causing him to flee.

A number of items were recovered by police close to the scene. These are believed to have been dropped by the suspect as he made off on foot.

The man in the footage is described as slim, approximately 5ft 10ins tall wearing a dark jacket, dark trousers a red woolly hat. 

A 37-year-old man has already been arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed to a date in early January pending further enquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector Will Young, Kensington and Chelsea said: "This is an ongoing investigation involving a number of lines of enquiry and we are actively following all leads in an effort to identify the suspect concerned. A man has already been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently on police bail. The occupants were unharmed during the incident but understandably are shaken by what happened and are keen to recover all of the items that were stolen which are of sentimental value."
