Appeal following collision in Battersea

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a 42-year-old woman was seriously injured following a collision with a car in Battersea.

Police were called to a serious collision on Battersea Rise near to the junction with Eccles Road, SW11 at about 11:00hrs on Wednesday, 10 January.

The collision occurred as the victim was crossing the road.

The car involved, a green Volvo, stopped at the scene. The driver is assisting police with their enquiries - there have been no arrests.

The victim remains in hospital in a serious condition after suffering a foot injury - her injuries are not life threatening.

Officers from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit continue to deal and are appealing for information.
