Appeal following collision in Hackney

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following a collision between a car and a cyclist in Hackney.

Police were called at 19:55hrs on Thursday, 3 November to reports of a collision in Pritchard's Road at the junction with Whiston Road, E2.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and found a 33-year-old male cyclist with a head injury. He was taken to an east London hospital where he remains with life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene. They have not been arrested and are assisting detectives with their enquires.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating and they are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to the incident to get in contact.
