Appeal following collision in Hendon

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Hendon.

Police were called by London Ambulance Service (LAS) at around 18:10hrs on Thursday 12 January to reports of a collision between a silver Honda Civic and a pedestrian in Holders Hill Road, NW7, outside the entrance to Hendon Cemetery.

Officers attended and the 70-year-old pedestrian was taken to a central London hospital. His condition has since deteriorated and he remains in hospital in a critical condition.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it to get in contact.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene. They were not arrested.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.
