Appeal following collision in Kensington

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious collision in Kensington.

Police were called shortly after 14:30hrs on Monday, 10 August, to Kensington High Street with the junction of Young Street, following reports of a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian.

Officers, the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and the London's Air Ambulance attended.

The female pedestrian, 54, was taken by LAS to a west London hospital where she remains in a critical but stable condition.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and was spoken to by police. He was not arrested.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Merton are investigating.

They are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed or may have information regarding the collision.
