Appeal following collision in N16

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man’s leg was broken after he was struck by a vehicle in Hackney.

The incident happened at approximately 21:16hrs on Saturday, 14 September, on Springdale Road, N16, near the junction with Green Lanes, N16.

A man, aged in his early 30s, had apparently been involved in an altercation and with the driver of a car and he was then hit by the vehicle.

The vehicle then made off from the scene onto Green Lanes, heading north, before then turning right onto Burma Road, N16.

The man was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

Detectives from the Central East Command Unit are investigating this as an allegation of GBH.

Police are requesting that anyone who was in the area, or anyone who may have private CCTV or dash-cam footage, to contact them immediately.
