Appeal following collision in Teddington

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a woman was seriously injured following a collision in Teddington.

Officers were called by London Ambulance Service at approximately 19:50hrs on Wednesday, 1 February to reports of the collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 20s, was taken to a south London hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the car - a white Peugeot - stopped at the scene. He was not arrested.

The collision occurred as the car was travelling east along Broad Street.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Merton investigate.
