Appeal following fatal collision, Holloway

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a collision in Holloway in the early hours of Tuesday, 29 August.

Officers were called to Camden Road, junction with Hilldrop Crescent, N7 at 06:01hrs following reports of a collision between a cyclist and a Ford Transit van.

London Ambulance Service also attended.

A male cyclist, believed to be aged in his 30s, was found to be suffering from injuries.

He was pronounced dead at the scene a short while later. Next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem will be scheduled in due course.

The female driver of the Ford Transit stopped at the scene and was initially arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She was subsequently de-arrested at the scene and was later interviewed under caution at a north London police station.
