Appeal following fatal collision, Wembley

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Wembley.

Officers were called by London Ambulance Service at around 14.15hrs on Tuesday, 10 January to reports of a pedestrian and a lorry in collision on Wembley Park Drive, near the junction with Wembley Hill Road, Wembley.

LAS and London's Air Ambulance all attended.

The pedestrian, a man aged in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers believe they know the identity of the deceased and enquiries are underway to inform next of kin.

Formal identification awaits.

The lorry stopped at the scene. The driver was not arrested.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Alperton are investigating the circumstances of the collision and would like anyone who witnessed any aspect of the collision to call them on the dedicated witness line on 020 8991 9555.

Enquiries continue.
